About Us

How We Started

Living in the northern central part of Idaho has allowed me to enjoy the activities of living in the great outdoors and being a part of a community that values taking time to go camping, fishing, hunting, and huckleberry picking. My journey to become owner and head roaster started 10 years ago when I finally started to appreciate and learn how good coffee was made while running an espresso stand. Speed changes on that highway drove customers away to the eventual closure of the espresso stand. The passion of roasting quality coffee sustained and ushered me to take the leap into roasting coffee beyond a hobby shared with family and friends. The little roaster didn’t hold up to the many pounds of coffee beans and continual use. We decided to bite the bullet and buy a shiny new commercial Diedrich roaster from Sandpoint, Idaho and turn my part time hobby into a real hobby that everyone can enjoy.
